Electromagnetic Fields (EMF)
Using CDEGS™ software is used to model the electromagnetic fields associated with transmission lines and switchyard structures.

Induction
Electric and magnetic coupling can occur between high voltage power lines and communications cables, gas and water pipelines. This may present a hazard to the plant (eg SCADA and telephone equipment), the public and maintenance personnel. We can investigate these issues and provide practical solutions.

Transmission line and cable impedance characteristics can be determined.

Radio Frequency Interference
Using CDEGS™ the levels of RFI generated by energised HV conductors can be calculated. Radio and television interference issues are also investigated (see: Ultrahound by Mitton Instruments)
