Hydro Electric and Wind Generation
Mitton Electronet provide a comprehensive design and project management services for the design and construction of hydro electric and wind generation schemes. This covers both new green field sites and the refurbishment and upgrading of existing schemes. Key areas of speciality in the hydro generation industry are:

Electrical protection
For all aspects of generation protection, ranging from generator/turbine protection systems to transformer, line and auxiliary plant protection, we can offer advice and audits for existing installations or complete protection upgrades.

Plant automation and control
We offer control and automation upgrade services for existing plant or development of entirely new control and automaton systems, including specification and development of new PLC control systems and integration with existing or new SCADA systems.

Feasibility and Optimisation Studies
We have significant experience in undertaking feasibility and optimisation studies for power station embedment projects, small and large scale hydro and wind generation developments and plant upgrades to optimise efficiency.

Governors and AVR
Using the latest Matlab and Simulink software we are able to offer full consultancy services for new and existing governor and AVR installations, ranging from modelling and tuning to testing and commissioning. In addition, we are able to conduct performance testing and modelling in accordance with the requirements of the EGR to maintain asset capability.
